Entertainment Reviews:
Clarkson's Greta... is wickedly funny, while Mitchell's ingénue convincingly combines puppyish idealism and steely ambition. But it is Sheedy's Lucy, nonchalantly sexy, sharply intelligent, tough and vulnerable, who is the film's heart and soul.

Who knew Ally Sheedy was so sexy?
Roanoke Times (Virginia)
Rating: 3.5/4 --
Patricia Clarkson succeeds in creating a complete, complex character without ever overplaying the stoned behavior. Radha Mitchell is successful at suggesting the interaction of several motives: love, lust, curiosity, ambition, admiration.

Chicago Sun-Times
...Cholodenko gives her film a languorous pace and hothouse atmosphere that wok beautifully with the buildup of strong emotions...
Premiere
...Sheedy plays Lucy with a strength that gradually falls away as a façade over her vulnerability, and Mitchell is a revelation....Together they provide some of the most honest and hotly passionate romance you'll find in theaters this year...
Los Angeles Times
Ms. Cholodenko's debut feature is slow-paced but interesting, especially for the quality of the acting.
Wall Street Journal
The film's treatment of women's sexuality is a nice contrast to the lesbian-bed-death clichés (and anti-chemistry) of Julianne Moore and Annette Bening in [Lisa] Cholodenko's more recent The Kids Are All Right.

Product Description:
Ally Sheedy stars as Lucy Berliner, a once-famous photographer, whose career has been revitalized when she meets Syd (Radha Mitchell), a beautiful young assistant editor for a prestigious photography magazine. Withdrawn from the art world, Lucy is reawakened by Syd who offers her the hope of escaping her drug-filled world. Before Syd realizees it, she is drawn into Lucy's seductive and dangerous mix while forced to make choices she never imagined. A challenging film that raises interesting questions as to how objective a person can be about art, especially when they are involved in the creative process.
