Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 2.5/5 --
At one time, maybe Dan Aykroyd's accelerated, authoritative jibber-jabber caroming off Tom Hanks' loud wailing was enough. But today, "Dragnet" feels pokey next to the peers of based-on-TV-series sorta-parodies it helped inspire.

The Film Yap
Rating: 3/4 --
A deadpan Aykroyd is perfectly cast, and it's always nice to revisit Hanks back when he was loose, limber, and eager-to-please.

Film Frenzy
Rating: 3/5 --
Mr. Aykroyd and Mr. Hanks play well together, but the funniest performance in the film is that of Dabney Coleman, as the smut king (who lisps).
New York Times
Rating: 3/5 --

...Aykroyd hilariously establishes his stern and no-nonsense persona....[Aykroyd and Hanks] give the film a vitality...
