Robert Armstrong and Carole Lombard star in this vivid drama of double crossing men and double dealing women. Tough mobster Mahlon Keane (Armstrong) finds himself smitten with financially strapped ex-society girl Rhoda Philbrooke (Lombard). When Keane learns that Rhoda needs money to help an alcoholic violinist (Roland Drew), he decides to help the cause. Soon, Rhoda finds herself caught between two men -- the mobster and the musician! It's a romance of high society and the underworld, crackling with smashing dialog and plenty of action!
