Rating: 4/5 -- This movie is more fun than many of those tall tales that Hollywood calls feature films.

The directors know enough to stay in the background and their one stylistic touch is brilliantly appropriate. Full Review

Rating: 4/4 -- For a life lived boldly and productively if imperfectly, Robert Evans deserves this trenchant, revealing, vastly entertaining documentary.

Rating: 4/4 -- It offers a fascinating peek into the (not always glamorous) life of a Hollywood big shot. Full of insight, meaty tidbits, and not without humor, this documentary is one of the best. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

The Kid Stays in the Picture is a fascinating documentary following the rise, fall and rise again of legendary Hollywood producer Robert Evans. Discovered poolside at the Beverly Hills Hotel, Evans became the first actor to ever run a motion picture studio. During his tenure, he was responsible for some of the greatest movies ever made - Chinatown, The Godfather and Rosemarys Baby - and defined the Hollywood high life, until he succumbed to cocaine addiction and scandal. Sparing no one, least of all himself, Evans narrates his Hollywood journey and eventual triumph with no holds barred candor in this critically acclaimed documentary.
