Twenty-one-year-old Russ Tamblyn portrays Tully, trying to make good in Chalmers. Wyoming. but maligned by many because of his outlaw father. After a brawl forces Tully to leave, he falls in with young toughs in nearby Black Crater. There, Tully exhibits a strength of character folks in Chalmers wouldn't expect. As the criminal stakes and Tullys need for cash grow, he must choose the path that his life will take and stand tall with the consequences.
