OLDIES.com Description

Lebanon Hanover, a distinct British-German post-punk duo, emerged on the music scene in 2010 from Sunderland, England. The band is a creative collaboration between Swiss vocalist and guitarist Larissa Iceglass and British vocalist, bassist, and synthesist William Maybelline. Their music is characterized as an "ice cold reply to the alienated world coming from two warm beating hearts." This duo embodies the ethos of modern-day romantics, with a deep admiration for William Wordsworth and a fascination for art nouveau aesthetics. Their explorations extend beyond the music, as they are known for exploring British seashores and forests at night, drawing a significant portion of their inspiration from the urbanism of Berlin. The group is currently signed to Fabrika Records based in Greece, and have enriched the post-punk scene with six studio albums to date. The choice of their band name is a geographical nod to two neighboring towns, Lebanon and Hanover, in New Hampshire, United States.
