It's as if Finding You was written by a computer program that studied 2000s rom-coms, taking the worst tropes and clunkily blending them together.

The gorgeous setting of Ireland stands out from this generic and by-the-book romantic melodrama. [Full review in Spanish]

Finding You was written and directed by Brian Baugh, but the entire movie looks like it came from the mind of a naïve teenager who's read too many hack romance novels.

Tiny specks of grit get entirely smoothed over in pearlescent sentimentality by the end, eased through by lashings of flute-and-fiddle noodlings on the soundtrack.

It's far too long, and so clichéd it's a surprise there are no leprechauns, but decent acting and sharp humour mean it slips down as smoothly as a Guinness.

This isn't a bad movie as far as teen romances go, but it's too vanilla to leave a lasting impression.

Product Description:
Written and directed by Brian Baugh, this coming-of-age romantic comedy is based on the book "THERE YOU'LL FIND ME" by Jenny B. Jones. It follows talented violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid), who recently fails to enter a prestigious music conservatory in New York. She heads to Ireland to study for a semester instead. She stays in a bed-and-breakfast place in a coastal village where she encounters Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre), a famous celebrity in town for a film shoot. The two start a romance, but his stardom impedes on their budding relationship. Vanessa Redgrave co-stars.
