Product Description:
Kagome is a 15-year old Japanese school girl who discovers a secret well at a Shinto shrine that transports her back 500 years to a feudal Japan filled with demons, goblins, and magic. Kagome discovers she is the reincarnation of a powerful priestess, Kikyo, the keeper of a magical jewel known as the Shikon. When the jewel is shattered into a million pieces, Kagome must team with the half-demon InuYasha and travel the world collecting the shards and, invariably, facing evil and bizarre demonic creatures. This long-running and widely popular series is from Rumiko Takahashi, the millionaire manga creator of the surreal RANMA 1/2 and URUSEI YATSURA. More recently it has begun airing on the Cartoon Network and gathering a rabid American fan-base. In Volume 43. Kagome returns to present-day Tokyo for a much-needed rest, but things turn hectic when she discovers that the dried fruit she brought back for her grandfather is actually a dried-out demon.
