"Serendipity" can be an extremely intimate documentary, but there are other times when it is curiously remote in elucidating Nourry's artistic intentions. This is not a criticism. Full Review

"Serendipity" comes by its galvanizing power quite organically, neither making you ever feel pity for Nourry in her unenviable current circumstances or offer some manipulative-feeling sense of empowerment by its end. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/5 -- The trouble is that there's nothing here that's really very enlightening. Whilst the film will surely help to promote [Prune Nourry,] as an artist, one cannot help but feel that, from an artistic perspective, she took on this challenge too soon. Full Review

Product Description:

French multidisciplinary artist Prune Nourry's intensely personal documentary is based on her 2017 book of the same name. It explores how her recent breast cancer diagnosis forced her to re-think her lifelong fascination with the female body and the concept of fertility—and to experience the powerful connection between her life and her artistic process.
