Boogaloo Down Broadway was only the first of the fantastic Johnny C's chart records, to be followed by Got What You Need and Hitch It To the Horse. Johnny Corley's fateful meeting with producer/songwriter Jesse James resulted in five singles and a well-received album. Their singles included such hard-to-find recordings as Cool Broadway and Some Kind of Wonderful. Years later and on his own, using prominent Philadelphia music creators involved with the rise of the Philly Sound, Johnny C made the classic Waitin' for the Rain and Don't Depend on Me as well as the rare I'm a Man and Just Say the Word.
