After a famed artist paints her portrait, sassy Kitty (Paulette Goddard) sees her prospects rise as members of the nobility take note of her unknown beauty. However, when penniless Sir Hugh Marcy (Ray Milland) takes her under his wing and tries to pass her off as a real lady in a lucrative marriage deal, Kitty decides that it is high-time she take control of her own destiny. This is a travesty, the fact that someone can do this to such a brilliant film. the quality of the transfer is one of the worst I have ever seen, grainy, soft focus, poor contrast, if Universal can't supply better master material than this they ought to be totally ashamed of themselves, this is just ripping people off. It is about time that a minimum standard was legally set or there ought to be a points system given as to the quality so that customers have some idea what they are buying, I have seen better copies made by projecting film on the kitchen door and videoing it, so that tells you what this looks like. DON'T BUY IT UNLESS YOU ARE DESPERATE
