Apollo 11: The Eagle Has Landed

In July 1969, the historic APOLLO 11 space flight accomplished its mission. It launched from Kennedy Space Center on July 16th, and four days later landed on the surface on the moon. Once the craft touched down, Neil Armstrong secured his place as the most famous astronaut in history when he became the first man to step foot on another celestial body, proclaiming that it was "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
