Entertainment Reviews:
3 stars out of 5 -- [A] comedy-thriller with enough energy to power the National Grid.
Total Film
A very good direction, an inspired cast and a self-conscious and exaggerated microcosm that will delight all those who need a good dose of cynicism. [Full Review in Spanish]

Espinof
Rating: 3/5 --
Entertaining enough, with a sufficient number of internal chuckles to be able to overlook any missteps, Gringo's main downfall is an overcooked script and an A-list cast that puts too much pressure on the film as a whole.

Rating: 5/10 --
Though Gringo's desperation to be loved can grate, it's also hard to argue that some audiences will love its ribald humor and hyper-active energy.

The Pop Break
[I]t’s a blithely violent, madcap crime comedy....With proudly zesty dialogue peppered with the occasional pop-culture reference.
A.V. Club
3 stars out of 4 -- [A] largely fun watch, a corporate crime tale of consistent tartness enacted by a superb cast.
RogerEbert.com
4 stars out of 5 -- [W]hen the bullets and the pop culture-related banter are flying, it’s a lot of fun. Particularly when Theron is on screen, pushing the politically incorrect envelope with barely contained glee.
