V-Day: Until the Violence Stops

A hit at the Sundance film festival, V-DAY: UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS charts the incredible events that spun off from the hugely popular Broadway show THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES. Designed to celebrate female sexuality while condemning sexual violence, V-Day sees 800 cities across the globe staging performances of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, with all the proceeds going to charity. This documentary takes a look at several of the performances, some of which take place in highly unusual surroundings, as well as attracting celebrities to swell the ranks of the performers (Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek, and Rosie Perez all feature). An awesome effort designed at stopping sexual abuse, this release shines a valuable spotlight on a much needed cause.
