Recovering alcoholic Norval (Elijah Wood) still lives with his mother and struggles to turn his life around. After a letter from his estranged father arrives asking to meet, Norval finds himself on the next bus out to his father's charming yet isolated lakefront home. However, his father's unusual behavior forces Norval to realize that the emotional catharsis he seeks may not rest in a father-son reunion, rather, their reconnection may be something more sinister. Blurring the lines between comedy and thriller, Ant Timpson makes his feature film debut.
