Drakon Thunderdome

"Thunderdome" is the third full album of Russian furious black metallers DRAKON! Agressive, furious yet melodic black metal with death metal influences! The most mature album of Drakon so far! DRAKON was born in 2017 as collaboration between Veleyar (guitar, music) and Terror (vocals, bass). In this tandem, in 2017, the first EP "I" was released, consisting of 5 own songs and a cover on a song of Polish black metal band Mgla. "I" was published as self-released album, mixed by Anton Moskalenko After the release of debut album the line-up split, and Terror released the instrumental EP "The Last Battle of Angels" in the same year, 2017, and after that the project became frozen. In the fall of 2021 Veleyar has resurrected DRAKON on his own. The recordings of the first full album, called "Awakening", were begun and many professional session musicians are involved. The album is thematically dedicated to the Spiritual Revival of Man and Russian Motherland, through the prism of worship of the Forces of Nature. After the release of the full-length album "Awakening", during 2022 through Russian SoundAge Records, the band immediately began working on the EP "High Tales". This mini album included 5 songs, two of them are cover versions on Unanimated and Enslaved songs. Drakon signed with Sleaszy Rider SRL and "High Tales" has been released on 7 April 2023. Following "High Tales" and working non-stop, Drakon recorded their new manifest "Thunderdome" that we will release worldwide on 9 February 2024. Band commentary about the album: "On the day of Indra the Thunderer, the slayer of the black serpent, we present to you our new conceptual album. This is our own interpretation of the myth of the End of the World in the traditional Russian epic style, our own view of what is Light and Darkness, what is Good and Evil and what is the Earthly Truth".
