Entertainment Reviews:
Rating: 1.5/4 --
While featuring much screaming, accusations, collision of agendas, and the exhuming of dirty secrets, the film remains emotionally tone deaf.

The recipe for this wannabe black comedy is fractured, unfocused and all-too-familiar, engendering little emotional involvement.

The discomfort found in the feature is overwhelming at times, which is a lot more interesting than many of the dramatic developments Slocombe serves up.

Cold Turkey is well-acted, and at times even well-observed, but about 20 minutes of the material actually matters, and the rest is mere putter.

Writer-director Will Slocombe presents a familiar buffet, but there's good stuff to pick over.

New York Daily News
Slocombe's camera moves fluidly through the house's rooms, halls and yard for a look that's not of a filmed play but cinematic, and he adds unexpected ingredients to COLD TURKEY for a fresh take on a familiar recipe.

Product Description:
An unexpected Thanksgiving reunion brings out the worst in a dysfunctional California family in this darkly comic drama from writer/director Will Slocombe (CRIME FICTION). As Poppy (Peter Bogdanovich), his two youngest children (Ashton Holmes and Sonya Walger), and his wife Deborah (Cheryl Hines) prepare to settle in for the holiday, their typical routine is interrupted by the unexpected appearance of black-sheep daughter Nina (Alicia Witt). Returning home for the first time in 15 years, it soon becomes apparent that surly Nina is determined to charm her way into Poppy's wallet. Little does Nina realize that her siblings have the same intentions, but unfortunately for everyone Poppy is about to reveal a secret that none of them saw coming.
