In It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time (1975), a divorced man is willing to do anything, even kidnapping, to win back his wife. In Wake Me Up When the War is Over (1969), an American Lieutenant at the end of WWII accidentally falls out of an airplane that he was on and falls into German territory. He is taken in by a baroness who doesn't want him to leave, so she doesn't tell him that the war has ended.
