THE FABULOUS WORLD OF JULES VERNE(aka Vynalez zkazy)

This is easily the best quality DVD edition of this fabulous science fiction film on the market. The evil Count Artigas kidnaps the scientist Professor Roch and his assistant. Artigas takes them to his headquarters inside an enormous volcano, far off at sea. The machines the professor creates are incredible. His heavy water experiments soon provide a way of controlling pure matter, which will result in the most fantastic explosive every created. Little does the professor know, though, that Artigas plans to use this super-explosive to conquer the world. Only a small hot air balloon with a desperate message stand in the way the Count's plans. The visuals in this film are like nothing you've ever seen moment after moment of the most amazing images ever put on film. The giant octopus scene is really cool. An effective, off-beat music score compliments the surreal goings-on. WAY cool. You can't miss this classic. This is the English language version of Vynalez zkazy, complete with the added Hugh Downs narration. From a beautiful 35mm print.
