The film was written by AC Stephen and Ed D. Wood, Jr. and directed by AC Stephen and is noteworthy as this is Wood’s last on screen appearance, playing dual cameo roles as both the gas station attendant “Pops” and the sheriff, (wearing dark shades and a fake moustache). It’s a simple storyline, where five women break out of prison (including ‘60’s porn star Rene Bond) trying to find money one of the girls buried before being sent way. 4 are hardened criminals, the 5th was unjustly convicted. Most of the film is spent with the girls traveling around California, encountering hippies, beating up men and ultimately fighting amongst themselves.
