What justified filming Dominic Leyton's play Collision is hard to see, but the decisions taken in opening it out are what truly wreck Gary Love's misbegotten attempt to do so. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- The script invokes sympathy for the characters only at the end - and by then the audience will probably have ceased to care. Full Review

Rating: 3/5 -- A low-budget Brit-flick that bucks against the usual "urban cinema" conventions while showcasing its talented cast. Although it runs out of steam, its opening energy and verve are impressive. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- Feeling like a short that's been stretched out and mugged of its unpredictable tensions, it's a static slice of ghetto hell. Full Review

Product Description:

What starts out as a simple gun purchase soon becomes a deadly game of cat and mouse in the crime thriller SUGARHOUSE. Steven Mackintosh (LOCK, STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS) stars as an accountant looking for a way to murder his wife’s lover. When he buys a pistol from a local crackhead, the junkie fails to mention that it was the prized possession of a local druglord who would do anything to get it back.

Product Description:

A simple business deal is about to go very, very wrong.
Determined to kill his wife's lover, a middle-class accountant (Steven Mackintosh, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels) attempts to purchase a .38 from an inner-city crackhead (Ashley Walters, Get Rich or Die Tryin'), unaware the gun actually belongs to a psychotic drug lord (Andy Serkis, The Lord of the Rings) who'd kill to get his weapon back. Gritty and suspenseful, Sugarhouse is a "furious and frightening film" (Jason Solomons, The Observer), an edgy urban thriller about deception, drug deals and a gun to die for.
