Entertainment Reviews:
Much like the Dawn of the Dead remake, at first assumed a travesty yet surprisingly good, Evil Dead can almost boast the same. Almost.

Exquisite Terror
Rating: 1.5/4 --
It's just another bland gore-fest that plays like the reheated remains of far better films that have come before.

From the Front Row
Rating: 3.2/5 --
What separates the original Evil Dead from other horror flicks is that it moves away from the idea of a Last Girl and allows Campbell to play the role of Last Boy.

Spectrum Culture
Rating: 6.5/10 --
Whilst the effects are spot-on and Levy gives a performance that could define her career, the film never quite nails what made the originals such classics.

3 stars out of 5 -- An unsettling Swedish drama that follows the brutal clash between school politics and primitive instincts.

[A] well-made Swedish film....The movie is as blunt as its title.

Product Description:
The Stjärsnberg Academy has a great reputation, but when the bright, troubled Erik (Andreas Wilson) enrolls there after getting expelled from his previous high school, he discovers an institution that is spiraling violently out of control. As the senior students inaugurate a reign of terror, Erik befriends his roommate, Pierre (Henrik Lundström), and tries his best to keep his aggressive nature from getting the best of him in the face of torment. Swedish director Mikael Hafstrom directed this harrowing Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Language Film before helming such hit Hollywood thrillers as DERAILED and Stephen King's 1408.
