Rating: 4/5 -- Both a torrid exploitation cinema throwback, and a metaphor for a generation of kids screwed over by their elders. Full Review

3 stars out of 4 -- [W]hat's most surprising about MOM AND DAD is how Taylor is usually able to translate his shifting interests in his film's core ideas into a long, gear-shifting adrenaline rush.

Rating: 3/10 -- Trying too hard to be a crazy cult movie, Mom and Dad forgets to be an enjoyable thrill ride in the process. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- The "joke" soon wears thin, however, and the film, with few actual ideas to express, resorts to slapdash plotting and dead-end gore. Full Review

[The] film does have an ace up its sleeve, and that’s the presence of none other than Hollywood’s reigning wild man Nicolas Cage, who hasn’t delivered a performance this bug-eyed over-the-top in ages.

Product Description:

A strange disorder suddenly causes parents to violently turn against their own children, forcing a suburban teen (Anne Winters) and her younger brother (Zackary Arthur) to evade the clutches of their now-deranged mom (Selma Blair) and dad (Nicolas Cage).
