Description by OLDIES.com:

This program, containing new location film work, investigates the history of the Buchenwald camp and its surroundings made with the support and co-operation of the Camp Foundation organization dedicated to keeping the memory of the Holocaust alive to the world. The program deals with the day to day lives of the inmates and the harsh treatment enforced on them by the Nazi brutal command structure in their desire to achieve the 'final solution.'

Product Description:

One of the many World War II Nazi concentration camps whose names are synonymous with evil, Buchenwald imposed razor-sharp punishments on its prisoners for even the slightest infraction of draconian rules. In fact, the dogs that resided in the camp enjoyed living conditions far superior to those of the inmates. Part One of this harrowing documentary discusses the events that transpired in the camp between 1937 and 1942, while Part Two looks at the camp from 1942 through 1945. The entire program culminates with the 1945 liberation of Buchenwald, when American military operatives finally discovered the abominations that had occurred inside of it - and many victims, desirous of revenge, began systematic attempts to hunt down camp personnel.
