Rating: 3/5 -- A perfectly pleasant, if a touch innocuous, rejigging of the Arthurian legend for a modern audience. Full Review

With its retro-video-game score and GOONIES-style gang of misfit characters, the movie plays like a throwback to Spielberg-produced adventure films of the ’80s.

Product Description:

Writer-director Joe Cornish's family-friendly fantasy film puts a contemporary spin on the legend of King Arthur. An unexceptional English boy (Louis Ashbourne Serkis) pulls Excalibur from a rock and is informed by Merlin (Angus Imrie and Patrick Stewart) that he is destined to lead the charge against evil medieval enchantress Morgana le Fay's attempt to conquer the world.
