Duvall makes us believe that Red believes that he's up for anything.

Movie Nation
The director Emilio Aragón wisely trains the camera on Mr. Duvall. "A Night in Old Mexico" is his baby, and he rocks it.

An amiable cross between NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN and NEBRASKA that works best when it channels the latter, Aragón’s first English-language feature is held together by the force of its octogenarian lead.

Product Description:
In the wake of losing his land and home, aging Texas rancher Red Bovie (Academy Award winner Robert Duvall) rebels by gassing up his classic Cadillac, and crossing the border into Mexico with his estranged grandson Gally (Jeremy Irvine) to raise some hell. Later, Red and Gally are joined by Patty (Angie Cepeda), a pretty stranger in desperate need of a brighter future. Trouble arises, however, when the trio cross paths with three dangerous and unpredictable men (Luis Tosar, Jim Parrack, and Joaquín Cosío).
