A marvelous performance by Quinn as a Greek immigrant in Chicago who grasps for a second chance at love with a younger woman (Stevens) and scrambles to raise enough money to take his ailing son home to Greece. Stevens's performance demonstrates what a loss her suicide was; this was her last screen appearance.
