The Grey Vulture (1926, B&W, 49 minutes): Bart Miller is a day-dreaming cowboy. His thoughts take him back three hundred years to his desire to be a medieval knight. In his reveries he is able to save Lady Beatrice and her father, the owners of Castle Crannycrook from total ruination. Bart gets to enact his fantasy in the present day west when villains try to force Betty and her father, the owners of the Flying B Ranch, off their land. California '49 (1924, B&W, 67 minutes): In the days before California's statehood, Arabella Ryan plots to become the largest land baron west of the Rockies. She enlists ruthless gunmen to drive the rightful owners off of the land she covets. Honest rancher Sierra Sutter finds herself besieged in the ensuing reign of terror. But Sierra finds an ally in local trail guide Cal Coleman and the two vow to fight to the death to keep California free from tyranny.
