Arrives at a destination that may strike some as too pat, but getting there is nonetheless consistently interesting. Full Review

It could be the languid pacing, improvised dialogue, relaxed performances or just the easygoing sway of the shooting style, but LOVES HER GUN is one of the most soothing examinations of fear you’re ever likely to see.

Rating: 5/10 -- ...it takes over an hour to get around to what is most interesting about the plot: Allie's initiation into gun culture, and her psychological response to the power that comes from pulling a trigger.

Rating: 3.5/5 -- Geoff Marslett's Loves Her Gun studies the fine line between rational and irrational fear, as well as what it means to feel safe. Full Review

Product Description:

A New Yorker flees the big city after being attacked and relocates to Austin, where she quickly finds herself drawn deeper and deeper into the local gun culture. Although being armed helps her get over her fears, Allie (Trieste Kelly Dunn) soon discovers that being so devoted to firearms can cause an unexpected set of problems. Director Geoff Marslett's movie contains completely improvised dialogue, even though the scenes were structured before filming.
