A computer genius living in a highly-commoditized future society seeks the true meaning of life in this existential sci-fi drama from director Terry Gilliam. Qohen (Christoph Waltz) may be a valuable asset to his employers at Mancom, but deep inside he yearns to know precisely what his purpose is. Convinced that he will one day receive a phone call with the answer to his difficult question, Qohen nevertheless strives to solve the "Zero Theorem" and find out for himself. Later, distressed over his inability to solve the riddle of life, Qohen gets some much-needed assistance from his manager's brilliant 15-year-old son Bob (Lucas Hedges and an eccentric online psychologist named Dr. Shrink-Rom (Tilda Swinton).
