Fred Waring's group the Pennsylvanians became popular after the release of their film Syncopation in 1929. In 1982, the well-respected Fred Waring received the Congressional Gold Medal for his contributions to American music. Highlights of these two original Reprise releases from 1964 include "The Very Thought Of You," "Embraceable You" and "The Nearness Of You."
