Description by OLDIES.com:
James Daly plays Michael Powers, a crusading reporter investigating the crime and corruption that arose from the ashes of World War II in this long-lost TV drama! Overseas Adventure originally aired as part of Foreign Intrigue, a four-year series that began in syndication starring Jerome Thor. After two seasons, he was replaced by Daly (the change of star also meant a change in character and locale.) Thor's episodes were later rerun as Dateline Europe, while a fourth and final season starring Gerald Mohr would become Cross Current. Daly's episodes aired as Overseas Adventure, and took full advantage of being shot on location in Paris, France. The Wisconsin-born Daly is today best known as the father of TV stars Tyne Daly (Cagney & Lacey) and Tim Daly (Wings), but he was familiar to 1960s and 70s audiences as Chad Everett's boss on Medical Center (1969-1976). He also made memorable appearances on The Twilight Zone ("A Stop at Willoughby") and Star Trek ("Requiem for Methuselah"). Most of the episodes of Overseas Adventure were directed by Steve Previn, the brother of acclaimed composer André Previn.
INTERNATIONAL FINANCE: Powers is held captive in the mansion of an eccentric millionaire. Tyne Daly (then only 8 years old) appears as a mysterious little girl haunting the grounds.
MOUNTAIN CLIMBING: A vacation in the Alps is interrupted by the kidnapping of the prime minister's daughter.
KIDNAPPING: The reporter's life is in danger after he learns the location of a secret air base.
THE STAR OF GHIZA: A beautiful woman trying to restore peace in the Middle East is murdered at a summit in Paris.
