Entertainment Reviews:
"Angel of Mine" is polished; and Rapace and Strahovski don't play their parts as stereotypes.

Los Angeles Times
In its flimsy exploration of grief, the parental power struggle defies logic from the get-go, which might not matter if moviegoers could empathize with either side.

Cinemalogue
Rating: 3/4 --
Angel of Mine is a much better meld of psychodrama and soap opera than it appears on the surface.

Observer
Rating: 2.5/5 --
Though she clearly struggles at times, Rapace's scenes opposite co-star Yvonne Strahovski (as the mother of Lizzie's obsession) are both compassionate and compelling enough to keep an audience invested and unsettled.

Variety
Rating: 3/5 --

Nobody's Reading This But Me
Despite the flaws and some dull detail, this is worth persevering with due to Noomi's disturbing characterisation...you can't look away, no matter how hard you try.

Product Description:
As the grief of losing a child takes a toll on Lizzie (Noomi Rapace), she becomes increasingly mentally unstable. When she meets a married couple whose daughter, Lola (Annika Whiteley), bears a striking resemblance to her deceased child, her life starts to fall apart. Obsession takes a hold of her, and she does everything in her power to spend time with the child she firmly believes is her own. As the tension between Lizzie and the couple escalates, heavily guarded secrets start to unravel. This 2019 adaption of the 2008 French film is directed by Kim Farrant.
