Family Squares, directed by Stephanie Laing, tells the story of a family divided for years but comes together to mourn their matriarch's death. When Grandma Mabel passes away, everyone gathers. In doing so, they discover that many secrets have been kept by Mabel and by each other. This takes them on a journey of discovery that helps them find their way back to themselves and each other. The result is realizing that while you cannot choose your family, you can choose whether or not to be friends with them.
