National Geographic America's Lost Mustangs

Narrated by William Shatner, this documentary tells of America's lost mustangs among the high desert of New Mexico. A cowboy and a historian make an attempt at figuring out how far back in time these horses existed using modern DNA technology. But before doing that, the horses must be caught, corralled, and tested harmlessly. This is the job of horse whisperer extraordinaire, Pat Parelli who is known for his skill in taking a wild and panicky mustang and calming it down to complete docility in about 40 minutes. Once that is done, the testing begins and an attempt at unfolding a piece of "American history mystery" begins.
