Deak Foster (Victor Jory) runs a racket where he and his henchmen muscle failing businesses that owe money and take them over. But when the gang takes over the Storks' Club -- a nursery they mistakenly believe to be a nightclub -- they realize they have taken on more than they bargained for. In the process, Deak falls for Irene (Rochelle Hudson), the Storks' Club's former owner who continues to run the nursery. But a rival gang member wants to take over some of Deak's businesses, causing Deak and the gang to think quickly on their feet.
