Product Description:
Shel Silverstein, the great American poet, singer-songwriter, musician, composer, cartoonist, screenwriter and author of children's books, became known primarily for his oddball sense of humor and the hit songs he wrote for Johnny Cash "(A Boy Named Sue"), Dr. Hook ("Cover Of The Rolling Stone" and many others), Loretta Lynn ("One's on the Way"), Bobby Bare ("Tequila Sheila") and had his songs performed by a host of top artists from Judy Collins to My Morning Jacket. Shel developed quite an underground following as a singing artist in his own right and released several albums featuring his unique sense of humor and distinctive gravely voice. Presented here is the original 1965 album "I'm So Good I Don't Have To Brag" - showcasing the mercurial Silverstein wit, featuring such classic ditties such as "I Can't Touch The Sun" and "The Ugliest Man In Town." Recorded at Mother Blues, Chicago 10/2 and 10/3 1965. Finally available in the digital domain, all selections newly remastered.
