How do we describe this tale of endless double crosses, lies, and frame ups? The mayhem starts when Ernie Matthews (George Pembroke), feeling despondent about his failed love life and his role as a state executioner, finds himself in a brawl with a news reporter. Johnny Martin (Robert Wilcox), a prison trustee and the warden's chauffer, breaks up the fight but ends up losing his prison privileges. It only gets worse from there, with sadistic guards and brain damaged prisoners battling it out. But, as always, love finds a way, even behind the gates of a prison!
