Colin Friels stars as John "Dingo" Anderson, an Australian trapper and family man whose biggest aspiration is to play trumpet with legendary horn man Billy Cross (Miles Davis). The frustration of discovering his wife's infidelity leaves him at a crossroads where he must choose between repairing his marriage and following his musical dream. He decides to flee to Paris and chase his dream in the jazz clubs of the City of Lights. This was the first and last screen appearance for music legend Davis.
