Product Description:
Driving through the American Southwest along Route 66, lone traveler Sarah (Clare Kramer, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER) stops into a rundown roadside diner to ride out a sudden thunderstorm. Once an eerie tourist draw for its odd collection of mummified remains and taxidermied animals, the dilapidated café is run by an eccentric family headed by mentally unhinged matriarch Let (Betty Buckley, EIGHT IS ENOUGH), who immediately begins to terrorize the captive Sarah with the help of her demented brood Wyatte (Brad Renfro), Jesse (Johnathan Schaech), Billie (Lori Heuring), and Carol Ann (Busy Philipps). But all is not as it seems, as their captive victim has some menacing secrets of her own. Written and directed by J.S. Cardone (THE SLAYER, A CLIMATE FOR KILLING) from his own stage play, THE MUMMY AN' THE ARMADILLO is another of the cult filmmaker's patented thrill rides of atmospheric terror.
