Product Description:

2016 release. Gavin Greenaway is well-known as the conductor of several major film music scores including The Dark Knight, Gladiator, Interstellar and How to Train Your Dragon and for his long-standing, close collaboration with film music titan, Hans Zimmer. Here however Greenaway turns his hand to his own compositions and releases his eagerly anticipated debut album. Greenaway presents the listener with 14 original works for piano, showcasing a wide range of moods in an accessible modern classical style, all performed by the composer. Greenaway, who has worked alongside such luminaries as Sir George Martin and Phil Ramone and has written songs with Bryan Adams and Trevor Horn, comes from a musical family (his father, Roger Greenaway, is a multi-Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter) and studied at Trinity College of Music. His music has been played every night since 1999 at Disney's EPCOT Centre in Orlando, as he is the composer of the score for the venue's evening spectacular, 'Reflections of Earth' for which he won an Emmy Award. Greenaway also achieved worldwide fame for his music for the Lighting of the Olympic Cauldron at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
