Misael (John Leguizamo), a troubled yet well-intentioned family man, finds himself thrown behind bars after committing a cruel crime motivated by vengeance and hatred. Yet Misael finds his fate even worse than anticipated as he suffers merciless treatment by both his fellow prisoners and the prison wardens, leaving him beaten, scarred, and humiliated until he no longer can recall his purpose in life.
