"Man From Laramine" is one of Jimmy Stewarts very best westerns. He is just what Stewart fans like best...a good guy. He is determined and humble, and honest. Supporting actresses Cathy O'Donnell and Aline MacMahon are excellent as believable women of the old West. The story line is good, with just enough 'twists' to hold the viewer's interest.The location is excellent. This film is a vast improvement on the very mediocre "A Far Country"--in which Stewart plays a coldblooded, heartless man in love with a immoral woman. "The Man From Laramine" is a excellent film and suitable for family viewing.
