I'm afraid it would be a rainy day in hell before The Sunshine Boys would be anything more than an afternoon matinee flick for the Actor's Home For The Aged. Full Review

Rating: C+ -- Herbert Ross' version of Neil Simon's Broadway production is still a play--verbose and repetitious at that--but it's well acted by Walter Matthau and George Burns (who won an Oscar) as the two cranky vet vaudevillians. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

Walter Matthau and George Burns star in this outstanding Neil Simon comedy about a long-since-broken-up vaudeville comedy team named Lewis & Clark who are persuaded to reteam for a television special. However, these two cantankerous curmudgeons can't stand each other anymore, and their mutual crankiness produces both hilarious and heartwarming moments.
