Rating: 2.5/5 -- So if you are not already on-side with [Maher's] particular leanings, the pickings in Religulous are very slim indeed. Full Review

Borat/Bruno meets Michael Moore in this funny and thought provoking attack on religion.

Rating: 2.5/4 -- "Why can't we all just get along?" [Maher] asks at one point. Maybe he should have turned that question back on himself. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- I'm all for a documentary about the mass hysteria of our warring creeds, but stand-up satirist Bill Maher turns out to be the wrong man to make it. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- Maher has gone for easy targets. He comes up with the odd funny gag, but you get the feeling that he is as dogmatic about his doubt as the believers are about their faith. Full Review

It's hugely amusing to see an argument so cheerfully loaded, so barefacedly one-sided, and so frankly determined to bully the other side into silence. Full Review

Rating: 3.5/4 -- Bill Maher admittedly dresses a one-sided anti-religion diatribe in documentary linens and the hypocrites he finds make great punchlines. But he also addresses the historically proven truth of faith perverted for power and the danger posed to us all. Full Review

Description by OLDIES.com:

In this new comedy from director Larry Charles (Borat, "Seinfeld"), comedian and TV host Bill Maher takes a pilgrimage across the globe on a mind opening journey into the ultimate taboo: questioning religion. Meeting the high and low from different religions, Maher simply asks questions, like "Why is faith good?" "Why doesn't an all-powerful God speak to us directly?" and "How can otherwise rational people believe in a talking snake?" For anyone who's even a little spiritually curious, this divine entertainment will deepen your faith... in comedy!
