The truth about one of the great urban legends of videogame history is nowhere near as epic as you'd imagine: in fact, it's rather anticlimactic.

'Atari: Game Over' is a very entertaining documentary about the curious case of the 'E.T.'s' videogame and also offers a quick review of the rise and fall of the title company. [Full Review in Spanish]

Description by OLDIES.com:
This documentary chronicles the fall of the Atari Corporation and investigates one of the biggest mysteries of all time, dubbed The Great Video Game Burial of 1983. In the early 1980s, Atari supposedly buried nearly a million copies of E.T. the Extra Terrestrial -- one of the company's biggest commercial failures and often cited as one of the worst games ever released -- in a New Mexican desert landfill. Over time, reports of this strange mass burial became a sort of urban legend. Decades later, a crew attempts to separate fact from fiction by digging up all of the old game cartridges and shedding light on this mystery.
