Rating: 4/4 -- A grand, colorful coming-of-age story with a candy box color palette and a standout performance by Renée Zellweger. It's a great story and a great crowd-pleaser. Full Review

Rating: 2.5/4 -- My One and Only isn't exactly memorable, but this little, personable movie is a fine showcase for Zellweger's talents and a paean to the sort of mid-1950s America best remembered in Norman Rockwell paintings.

Rating: 2.5/4 -- If you have any curiosity at all about how a fellow like George Hamilton became a fellow like George Hamilton, My One and Only answers the question by looking, fondly, at his primary caregiver.

A little gem of enjoyment at the end of the summer, My One And Only moves along in cruise control, at a steady even pace. Full Review

Rating: B -- Part road trip, part coming-of-age story, the film ultimately reveals itself as a Hollywood memoir, but it saves any stardust for its last moments. Full Review

Rating: 2/5 -- A road-movie with a flat tire, this is a dull journey that follows the teenage George Hamilton as he and his mother set off to find a new life along Route 66. It's a lifeless comedy, long on trivial adventure and short on drama and energy. Full Review

Rating: 3/4 -- This isn't exactly untraveled territory, but director Richard Loncraine makes this potentially familiar story fresh...

Product Description:

Oscar-Winner Renée Zellweger shines as a Southern belle turned New York socialite who leaves her philandering husband and heads out on the road with her two teenage sons to find a new man. Based on the true-life childhood experiences of actor George Hamilton, this hilarious, heart-warming film features an all-star cast including Kevin Bacon (Mystic River), Chris Noth (TV's Sex And The City), Eric McCormack (TV's Will & Grace), and Steve Weber (TV's Wings). When Anne Deveraux (Zellweger) finds her bandleader husband Dan (Bacon) in bed with another woman, she packs her bags, empties the cash drawer, buys a baby blue Cadillac convertible and begins a cross-country trek with her sons. From Boston to Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Albuquerque and finally Hollywood, her search for a new life continues to turn up short. But the richness of coming to really know her sons - Robbie, who dreams of a life on stage, and George, a cynical, would-be writer who hopes this journey will lead back home (and soon!) - makes their harrowing adventure on America's highways among the most worthwhile undertakings of their lives.
