MacShayne - Winner Takes All

Vegas. The word itself conjures up images: casinos open through the neon night, one-armed bandits and long-legged women, midnight confessions, giggling ingenues with romance in their hearts, and desperate men with crime on their minds. High rollers, hookers, hustlers, millionaires, repo men and cops ... these are all colors on the easel called Vegas.

Kenny Rogers plays Jack MacShayne, too much fast living has caught him on life's short end. His latest binge at the gaming tables has knocked him up with a big-time debt. He accepts the offer he can't refuse and becomes in-house detective for the casino that holds his marker.

Jack MacShayne mixes it up with artful con-women, endangered Senators, corrupt police commissioners, assassins, kleptomaniacs, and famous night-club singers. And, of course, through it all there's that Big Apple stuck in the middle of the desert ... Vegas.

Starring Kenny Rogers as John J. 'Jack' MacShayne, WINNER TAKES ALL is a dramatic made-for-TV movie. On a trip to Las Vegas to visit his son, the recently released ex-jailbird arrives into a world he can barely recognize. His wife and son have disappeared, and as MacShayne tries to pick up the pieces, he is approached by an ex-cop, Danny Leggett (Terry O'Quinn), who offers information on their whereabouts. In exchange for the information, MacShayne must beat a man at poker, clearing him out of all his money, and thus providing impetus for him to join Leggett in a plan to rob a hotel casino. All is not as it seems, however, leading to some fascinating twists and turns in the plot from director E.W. Swackhamer as he steers the film towards its explosive finale.
