Hiring big-game hunter Alec Burnett (Harry Guardino) to track down a herd of white rhinos, zoologist Dr. Jim Hanlon (Robert Culp) intends to capture a pair so he can save the species from extinction. Unaware Burnett is a professional poacher, Hanlon soon discovers the hunter has stolen his equipment so he can catch the rare animals and sell them to a black marketeer. Enlisting the aid of a district nurse (Shirley Eaton) who knows where Burnett may be, Hanlon sets out to find the hunter and stop him from making the sale.
