This compilation features all his singles between 1959-1961, including the million-selling "Tallahassee Lassie" (both the original single version and the LP re-cut) and "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans", plus his first two LPs, the Explosive Freddy Cannon! And Happy Shades of Blue. Also included are the rare Doo Wop singles he recorded as the lead singer of the Spindrifts, plus a radio jingle he wrote and recorded for Arnie Ginsberg. Cannon was particularly popular in Britain - the Explosive Freddy Cannon! Was the first Rock 'n' Roll LP to top the UK's album charts.
